Friday = Fun time

I have a confession to make…
Friday morning I’ll be taking it down my throat and up my ass.
So now that I have your attention I’ll remind you of all the terrible stomach pain I’ve had recently. It’s been made doubly fun over the past two weeks with explosive diarrhea. I’m not talking about a few random liquidy shit episodes each day, I’m talking about 10 to 15 times….sitting on the toilet doubled over in pain, willing to give up an arm or at least a nut if only the cramping would subside. It doesn’t matter what I eat. I’ve had these episodes after having dry toast as well as after a bowl of chicken corn chowder.
Well yesterday I finally had my appointment at the gastrointestinal doc. After listening to my tale and pushing on my gut he informed me that he wants to do an upper GI endoscopy and a colonoscopy and he wants to do them both over 4 to 5 hours on Friday. So there you go….I’ll have a scope/camera thing down my throat and one up my ass. Hopefully it won’t be the same one, and if it is I hope they use it on my throat first! Regardless I intend to be happily knocked out the whole time.
Since I’ll be taking off on Friday I’ll be extra busy today and tomorrow with work. It’s pretty realistic that this post will probably be it for me this week. I hope y’all have a happy hump day and I’d love to think that y’all will be thinking of me around 11:00 central time Friday morning as I get my ass probed.

LOL! I finally got some time to myself and decided to pop in on ole Chuck and what do I find?? SHIT! Absolute shit. All coming straight from you …..poor thing. You must have lost a heap of weight! It’s not all bad…LOL.
I hear you guys are getting a bit of an arse whooping over there with the tornadoes……..sorry to hear that…….stay safe. It’s that scary time of year again….for us too. We haven’t had much cyclone activity yet, that’s great seeing as we’re nearly at the end of the season
Well I’ll go and read all that I’ve missed out on in the past few months, check out what Chuck’s been up to.

I would think the camera went down your throat and out your ass. Or maybe out your ass and out of your mouth. Either way, if you feel like you need to brush your teeth afterwards, I think that will answer your question as to which side they used first with the camera.

Dude, I have SO been there. The procedures themselves are a piece of cake, because, as you noted, you are out cold. No big. (Colon cancer runs in my family, so I’ve already had 3 colonoscopies and one upper GI). I even woke up during a colonoscopy and that wasn’t a big thang. No, no, the problem is the preparation ahead of time for the colonoscopy. That’s the bitch. Only broth and jello to eat all day, then you have to drink massive amounts of fluids. Toward the end a lot of people start vomiting because the stomach just can’t take so much fluid. If there’s something really fun going on inside, you may get a lot of blood with the exiting fluid. Joy. If you can send the kids away on Thursday, do so. They don’t need to see that. Seriously.
Oh man, I don’t envy you one single bit.

One week to the day before you get the tube up the ass, I did just that. Have fun with the ass prep - it sucks donkey ass.
I survived last Friday’s violating but it wasn’t fun!

Gosh.
I hope you are all right. I’d be so freaked out. I have one of those done when I was in high school. I was throwing up blood. I found out that drinking beer and doing speed was a bad thing. I mean really, who knew?
(It is shocking that they threw me out isn’t it?)
Anyway… I will definitely think of you.

I am so thrilled that you answered. After all, you’re a guy and I was wondering what a man would think? Yeah for you and the courtesy flush! I appreciate a man who “sends his stuff on the way ASAP!”

I wanted to say that I hope things go well tomorrow. You probably know this by now - but the prep you had to do, all those yummy drinks and things, is actually the worst part. I helped a friend go through this last year - drove him to the hospital, held his hand… and then brought him back to my place and put him into my bed for a nap. Hey, I have the pictures to prove it. But I am a GOOD friend.
