What’s “Up Chuck”?

I’ve been vomiting forth the excitement that is my life….Since July 2004

52-50 and Atlanta Bound!!

Posted by Chuck on November 25th, 2007

Way to go Tennessee Volunteers! You’ve won the SEC East and now you’ll be playing in the South Eastern Conference Championship against LSU!

I feel dang good about this game. Very good in fact. When you look at the top four teams in the east (UT, UF, UGA & UK) and the top three teams in the west (LSU, Arky, Auburn) its evident that there isn’t one team who, on a consistent basis, is any better than the other. LSU lost to Arkansas Friday night in overtime and Tennessee won against Kentucky tonight in OT. It’s gonna be a great match up and it’s looking like I’ll be there in Atlanta next Saturday night at the game. I’m so looking forward to it! Y’all come on and send up some well wishes for the Volunteers in the championship game! I’ll be most appreciative!

GO BIG ORANGE!!!

Man I started watchin’ it when they were 38 to 38, in their second overtime or so. Thought it would never friggin’ end. Happy for ya, but they need to do somethin’ about those overtime rules. What a cluster fuck. I’m happy for ya man. Enjoy.

Okay, okay… I suppose after 4 overtimes and you beating us in regular season you deserve to go. Congrats! I suppose on Saturday I’ll be a Tennessee fan for a day. I might even put some orange on. Only for a day though. That’s it.

Sure I’ll send good wishes for the Volunteers. I can’t hurt them. Hey, didn’t I hear that OSU was all ready picked for the Rose Bowl. Guess they are doing ok also.

  4. Julie Says:

Congrats to Tennessee!! I would have watched it, but I was sitting in 38° & rain watching our local boys in the playoffs. Wish our outcome would have been the same!!

  5. Mushy Says:

Yep, made me pretty happy, I just hope we don’t get embarrassed on TV - again!

I can’t help it, but I have to keep bitchin’ about Fulmer always sitting on a lead instead of stickin’ it in the jugular! Why is that?

Oh my goodness. My husband & I were at this game with my folks, and if you thought it was intense on TV… man!! We’re both hoarse today! That was the most exciting game I’ve ever seen in person. Can’t wait for Saturday!! GO VOLS!!

  7. Snow White Says:

You know I’ll be Orange for the game! Go Vols!

I had a chance two weeks ago to buy a ticket to the Championship game. But I felt if I did, I’d be jinxing the chances of going. Apparently, just considering laying out for a ticket is enough to make them go into a shell for entire halves at a time. But we got there. Thank heavens. I thought when UK intercepted the ball in the 2nd OT it was over….thankfully that wasn’t the case.

That game was crazy. I thought my husband was going to have a heart attack.

I’m glad they finally got it done for Pete’s sake!

I for one was sitting there at the end of the first O-T ready to sling my empty Mich Amber bottle through the TV.

They had the game won and it was a matter of playing smart to keep KY at bay. Not a matter of letting them play catch-up and almost whipping the orange poo out of ‘em!

Sorry. That game annoyed me. I feel better now. I know I’m going to be condemned straight to Orange/White hell as folks will translate this into Diva blaspheming the VOLS. Don’t get me wrong. I’ll still wear my orange and white from head to toe.
I just think they could have played a stronger ball game instead of breaking all conservative.
