Before you ask, the person in this pic is no one I know personally. Just a picture I found and thought was a bit on the funny side.
So…big plans for Halloween? My neighbor is having a Halloween pre-trick or treating dinner for the kids. There will be “eyeball punch”, witches fingers and toes. It should be a fun time. Then the kids will go TorTing while I stay home, give out candy and drink beer with the guy next door. My ex, FA, will be coming over to take the kids around the neighborhood, so that should be all kinds of fun!
I spent a lot of time this weekend watching Most Haunted Live on TLC. Those Brits sure do get into their hauntings. I guess when you live in the most haunted country in the world it’s easy to be a ghost enthusiast. Tonight is part four of the four-night, live three-hour event. I’ll be sure to tivo it. So what’s your opinion? Do you believe in ghosts or spirit persons, as they call them on the show? Have you ever had an experience with the spirit world? Do share if you have…
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and a Spooktacular Halloween!!

Y’all go check out Bo Snagley’s revamped blog and the ever so informative post I wrote for him. Let him know what you think about it. Nothing else going on here, except watching another undefeated season come to a close. I knew Georgia didn’t have much. Talk to you all later. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Another work week comes to an end. This one has seemed longer than usual. Maybe it’s because I had to go out of town. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday morning in Huntsville working, and I had the pleasure of dining with a fellow blogger Tuesday night. Trick and I met at Hooters and then went to another restaurant and had a wonderful meal, as well as a few adult beverages (including two rounds of shooters). We shot the shit for a couple hours as well as gossiped about a few other bloggers we both read. It was fun…Trick is one cool chick! I look forward to doing it again the next time I’m in town. I also would like to thank Kelwhy for baby sitting Trick’s daughter so she could get out.
Like much of America I’m really digging quite a few reality shows. Martha Stewart’s Apprentice is great, as well as the new season of The Donald’s show. Did any of you see what happened on The Apprentice last night? My God, that sure was a shocker! I’m also totally into the Hulk Hogan show, “Hogan Knows Best” and Tanya Tucker’s new show, “Tuckerville”. I think I like them so much because they deal with actual family life. Of course their lives are nothing like mine. I think it’s just cool to see how celebs live. I guess that’s why I was so into The Osbornes, my homeboy Nick and his wife Jess and Being Bobby Brown. Maybe I’m just a voyeur at heart. I do like those hidden camera porn sites after all! LOL
Well, I hope you all have a great weekend. We won’t have the kids so we’ll probably not do much of anything except watch tv and movies, eat, sleep, have sex and watch Tennessee beat the Cocks. (Beat the cocks….get it?) Damn, I am so funneh! Actually I should probably stop mentioning Tennessee football in my Friday posts. It could be that I’m jinxing them! Anyway….y’all have a good one.

It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!
I know the question on all your minds is, “Is there a hole cut into the back of this pumpkin?” Well let me just say that you all are a bunch of perverts! Everyone knows if you want to have “relations” with a vegetable or fruit you always go for a member of the melon family. Gourd types just don’t work quite the same! Believe me, I’ve tried…LOL
Seeing as this is the last Half-Nekkid Thursday before Halloween I just had to take advantage and post a holiday themed picture. Here I am, in all my nekkid glory, with the family pumpkin strategically placed. (click on the pic for more up close and personal detail!) I’ll actually be carving this exact pumpkin tomorrow night with my kids. After which we’ll be watching the Charlie Brown Halloween special that Susan tivo’d last night. I know it would have made this picture much more exciting had I not had a t-shirt on, but seriously? I really doubt y’all would be wanting to see my beer gut! So here you go….some of you have been requesting a more exposed Chuck. Who knows? Maybe I’ll get even bolder in the future! By the way, that white thing between my legs is the base of an oscillating fan.
HHNT!! (happy half-nekkid thursday) everyone!

The fine lady who stood up to inequality in Montgomery, Alabama back on December 1, 1955 died yesterday. She was 92.
She was quite the rebel. Imagine if you will, you are a black woman prior to the civil rights movement and you live in the deep south. You refuse to give up your seat on a public bus to a white man. You’re a streamtress by trade and a member of the NAACP. You aren’t asking for drama, you just want to sit where it’s comfortable for you and dammit, you should have the right to sit where ever you want. Your actions spark the bus boycott in Montgomery which pretty much shuts down public transportation for months. In 1992 Ms. Parks said history maintains…”that my feet were hurting and I didn’t know why I refused to stand up when they told me. But the real reason of my not standing up was I felt that I had a right to be treated as any other passenger. We had endured that kind of treatment for too long.” She was a wise woman and a revolutionary. She was jailed and fined $14 for breaking the law. She was instrumental in starting the Civil Right’s movement. She was an awesome woman.
Rest In Peace Rosa Parks.

Well one thing I won’t be doing is naming any of my future offspring after Gerald Riggs or Corey Anderson. Thanks to dumbass mistakes by those two guys, my Tennessee Volunteers lost 6-3 to a lousy Alabama team. I will be the first to say I’m not looking at the Vols through rose colored glasses. They’re not all that good, especially on offense. They have played and lost to three teams, none of which (except maybe Georgia), are any better of a team. In all cases stupid mistakes like fumbles, interceptions and penalties have cost them victories. It just amazes me that this Alabama team is undefeated. Of course they haven’t played anyone, except Tennessee, that was any good. True they beat Florida and UF beat UT, but still….that Florida team isn’t much. Again, if it wasn’t for idiotic mistakes that game would have gone differently. I hope LSU and Auburn beat the crap out of Alabama. Those two games are the only ones left on their schedule that are any good. I say that out of one side of my mouth, but I’d also like to say this out of the other….If Alabama were to win out and go undefeated it’s sad that they most likely won’t get the recognition they’d deserve. Uh, hello? Anyone remember Auburn last year? I read something on Big Orange Michael’s Blog that I’d like to quote here word for word. I happen to agree with him completely…
“Also, I hate to say–but unless the anointed chosen two of USC or Texas loses, Bama could be the Auburn of this year–playing in the superior league and getting screwed by the polls and the BCS crap because USC and Texas play inferior schedules and in inferior conferences but were anointed by the media early as the two best teams in America. Sorry, but nothing I’ve seen from either team shows me they could go .500 in a real conference like the SEC.”
Okay, enough about Football. Some of you seemed to show some interest in my chili recipe last Friday so I thought I’d offer you one of my concoctions that I find even more tasty. I offer you here now…
Chuck’s Fartastic Southwestern Chicken Soup
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast (cut into ½ cubes)
1/4 cup finely cut onion
2 garlic gloves, minced
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 can whole kernel corn, drained
2 can black beans, rinsed and drained
2 can kidney beans, drained
1 can petite tomatoes, undrained
1 can rotel
2 can chicken broth
2 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 package taco seasoning mix
Saute the onion and garlic in the olive oil in a big pot. Cook the chicken in here too till lightly browned and the onions are tender. Add all the other crap and bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat and simmer till it’s nice and spicy and the chicken is tender. It’s quite good on a chilly evening. I crumble tortilla chips in the bowl and also add shredded cheddar and sour cream when serving. If it doesn’t bring on explosive and aromatic gas I’ll refund your money!!
Happy Monday everyone. I took the day off and will be heading to Huntsville for an overnight trip tomorrow. Talk to you all soon.

Autumn in Alabama…It starts a little later than where some of you may live. Yes it’s October 21st and that crisp feeling is just starting to make its presence known in the air. We’re expecting our highs to be in the mid 60’s and our lows in the mid 40’s over the next few days. This kind of weather makes me think of two of my favorite things:
College Football
(including cheerleaders)
AND
Spicy chili
I have been known to make some killer homemade chili in my day. Specifically every Fall and Winter. My chili prep is an all day affair. It’s chock full of beans, especially the dark red kidneys. My ground chuck beef is browned in sauteed onion and garlic. Once I drain the meat I add it to my special chili pot and then pour in my tomato sauce as well as seasoned diced tomatoes. I bring it to a boil, stirring often…then turn it down to low and let it cook. I simmer it for hours and add the right amount of spice, both mild and hot.

Once I’m ready to serve I may have either homemade cornbread or corn chips. The chili can be topped with shredded cheddar and sour cream. I’m telling you all, it’s damn good! Wouldn’t you like to chill out with The Chucksters, watching some great football and eating some delicious chili? Oh yes…I can almost smell the farts now!
Have a Great weekend! Think of me while I’m building a fence….
GO VOLS!!!

Happy Hump Day to ye all! Hopefully you’ll all get a chance to hump something today. Based on this information the average person only gets to enjoy ultimate enjoyment on average 16 hours in their lifetime. Hmmm…I wonder how many I’ve logged so far?
It’s mid week and so far it’s been a busy one. I’m looking forward to the weekend though, because my parents are coming for a visit. I’ve been needing to fence in one side of my yard in order to have an enclosed area for Trooper to enjoy. So Friday afternoon and all day on Saturday we’ll be setting posts and putting up about 44′ of privacy fence. This is something I’ve never done, so it should be a real adventure. We’ll pause of course on Saturday to watch Tennessee kick some Alabama ass….God I hope so…but if the game goes south we’ll just keep on working and try not to let our tear soaked eyes hinder us from the job at hand.
I’d also like to give a birthday shout out to my South Carolinian friend, Wanting More. She’s turning 40 something today! LoL So y’all go wish her the best! No seriously, she’s 38 I think…Happy Birthday girl!
Well unfortunately this is about all I have for you today. I’ve got a full slate so I better get to it. I hope you all are having a super week! See you on Half-Nekkid Thursday!

This is an incredible picture…click on it for a better and more detailed view.
Can I just say, again, that I love HBO’s original series Rome…this show is awesome. As many of you know, my college degree is in history and I’m just fascinated by all periods. I guess my favorites would have to be medieval European (especially British) history, the American Civil War and the Roman era. I have always been specifically interested in the years of Roman history leading up to, and after the birth of Christ. These late B.C. years (the 50’s) are when this HBO series take place, during the rule of Julius Caesar. What I would give if I could travel back in time, just for a couple hours, and witness those days with my own eyes. Luckily this show does that for me. I can see all the political intrigue, fighting and violence, sex and nudity, and general debauchery that went on….right in the comfort of my own livingroom. If you have access to HBO and can watch the show, you really should. They’ll be replaying the first eight episodes in the next week so check the website if you want to catch them all. If you don’t have the channel, I’m sure the first season will be out on DVD sometime before Christmas.
It was pretty much a laid back kind of weekend around here for old Chuck. Except for Saturday morning when we had a garage sale. Once again we rounded up all our unwanted crap and arrayed it on tables on the driveway, standing out there for about five hours. It was worth it is suppose. Those few hours of effort netted us around $310 we wouldn’t have had other wise. The rest of the weekend we did some shopping, too much eating and watched some movies. We watched Cursed and The Assassination of Richard Nixon. Both were pretty good, but I really enjoyed the Nixon flick. It was based on a true story and starred Sean Penn. Now I don’t care much for Penn due to his political beliefs, but I can recognize and appreciate great acting when I see it. The man is an awesome actor…he sure has come a long way from the Ridgemont High days!
This week should be busy and stressful. Stressful not only because of work, but because of the game this weekend. My Volunteers will be coming down here to Bama to take on the Crimson Tide. I’ll have to be honest, I’m a little worried. I seriously think Tennessee can pull off a victory, but I don’t think it will be easy. Alabama is a good team, but they haven’t played anyone any good yet. So I guess we’ll see….and I have five days to sit around and worry about the outcome.
Well, that’s about all I have for now. I’ll holla back later…
