Time to head to Grandma’s for Thanksgiving. Mmmmm, can’t wait to eat, although my wife informed me last night that I am getting fat so I guess I will have to take it easy on the turkey and dressing. Bummer…..but I could stand to lose a few pounds. Susan, the kids and I are leaving tomorrow morning and heading over to Georgia where we will be having Thanksgiving dinner with about thirty other family members all of whom have never met Susan. She is looking forward to it, yeah right! Susan’s sister, her husband, step kids and son happen to also live in the same town where my family is having our reunion, so we will be spending time there with them some too. I am looking forward to getting away, just hate to have to get back on the road again. We’re only staying till Saturday morning. Once we get home we both have Monday off, so we’ll have a few days to rest and recuperate.
Well, I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We did, although it rained like a bitch pretty much the whole time. Susan and I got in some good lovin since we hadn’t seen each other for a week. Friday night I pulled out and busted a major nut all over her stomach. Shot all the way up to her chin!! Whooo Hooo!! Reckon I had me a gallon stored up all week. You talk about serious nut gravy….too bad she didn’t have some biscuits then she could have sopped it all up. (TMI??) Then Saturday night we again had us some real HOT knockin of the boots, although we weren’t wearing boots. Spent most of Saturday watching football, although we did get out and do a little Christmas shopping. Stopped off at one of our favorite places for a couple Margarittas, got a buzz on, then went to Target and spent a lot more than we should have. Last time this happened we ended up buying a steam cleaner, which, by the way, I haven’t seen in a while since I loaned it to a fellow blogger. About a year ago she and I went out to dinner and drank too much, we ended up at Lowes where we purchased a 9 1/2′ artificial Christmas tree for $400. Bottom line, we shouldn’t mix happy hour with shopping time. Oh yeah, the tree has been up now for a week. Looks mightly festive around my house.
I hate to report that my daughter’s hamster died at some point on Friday. Marco, the hamster, was one of her birthday gifts back in August. She cried for a little while, but got over it since she had a friend here spending the night. I stuck old Marco in a ziplock bag and then Saturday morning we had us a little funeral. He was buried in his baggy out in one of the flower beds on the side yard. Can’t wait to see Susan’s face next spring when she digs it up while planting flowers!! My son L wasn’t home this weekend, he spent it with his Mom, so he wasn’t here for the funeral. Today he asked what had happened to T’s hamster. I told him that he had died cause he was sick and that he was in heaven with the other pets who die. He thought about it for a moment then said, “When the moon comes out will T’s hamster come out of the ground and be a zombie?” I couldn’t help but laugh….damn cartoons! He then asked if the hamster was, “in the ground with his pillow and his blankie?” What a precious kid! God, I love him!
So that’s about all that’s been going on here lately. Has been raining now for three days, off and on. Starting to get a little depressed. Need some sunlight like I had in San Diego last week. Oh, and some strippers too. Uh, not that I did anything with the strippers mind you.
Ya’ll have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! And be safe if you have to travel.
Edit 10:45pm: Susan came home tonight and informed me she had purchased a $72.00 bottle of shampoo!! What? Is her hair made of spun gold or something?? When I questioned her she said she was unaware of the price and when they rung it up she “about shit in her pants” (her words) but was too embarrassed to tell them she didn’t want it. She has since let me know that she plans on returning it next week. Good….hell I feel guilty if I buy a sausage biscuit at McDonalds in the morning with out asking her….I guess she doesn’t feel the same way.
