Friends In HIGH Places….

Posted by Chuck on 1st November 2004

Last Thursday afternoon, once I had finished my work at corporate, I headed down from the northern burbs to my friends place in the city. Jim, my Chicago friend and not the Alabama friend you have all read about here in the past, lives on the 16th floor of a nice condo building near Wrigley Field. He is a single, 40ish attorney, with a beautiful home and wonderful tastes. I suppose I should recount how he and I met before I tell you about what a nice host he was to me in Chi-town.

This past Mother’s Day weekend Susan and I were staying at the San Destin Hilton Resort in Destin, Florida for a customer trip I had won. While laying by the pool we noticed an older woman looking uncomfortable laying on her pool chair in the sun. I walked over and asked her if she would like me to better position her umbrella so the sun wouldn’t be beating down on her so badly. She asked me to please do so, as she was getting a little hot from the sun.

A little while later I notice a well tanned man come out and sit in the chair beside the woman. They talked for a minute and he got up and walked over to where Susan and I were baking. I shaded my eyes, looking up at him as he stuck out his hand and said, “Anyone who helps my Mama is a friend of mine.” Well come to find out his name was Jim, an attorney from Chicago on vacation with his Mother, and the rest is history! He, Susan and I ended up dining together several times and it we have kept in touch ever since.

Thursday night while I was waiting to go out “on the town” Jim surprised me by arranging a masseur to come up to his condo and give us both massages. I guess we needed to get relaxed before a night on the town. It was awesome. The guy brought his own massage table and knew right where to make the stress go away. Later that evening we partied it up with his friends and had an all around high time, getting back in around 6am Friday morning. A few hours later I was at O’Hare awaiting my flight back to Birmingham. It was such a great time and so nice to get to spend some time with Jim at his home and in his neighborhood. I hope I can take Susan there sometime in the future. It really was an awesome mini vacation, thanks Jim!

I arrived home around 4pm on Friday and went to meet Susan for dinner at a nice Italian place. I arrived before she did and got a good table on the deck. We had drinks and plenty of food. Thanks to our $50 gift certificate, we were even able to bring home some homemade pizza for lunch on Saturday. When we got back home Friday night I was exhausted, having not slept in over 38 hours, so I zonked out and fell asleep, glad to be back home after five days.

Saturday we woke up and I headed off to Wal-Mart to buy groceries for the week. I returned home and Susan and I were able to make love again for the first time in seven days. I won’t lie and say it was awesome….but I got to bust a well needed nut. Susan returned to bed to take her Saturday nap and the kids and I craved the pumpkin in order to get ready for the nights activities. Of course the Tennessee game was watched, and celebrated! Go Vols!! They handily beat The University Of South Carolina.

Here in the Bible Belt they decided to Trick or Treat on Saturday night instead of Sunday. So we were in a rush to get the costumes ready, candy prepared and the jack o’lantern lit for the evenings fun. My daughter went as a Vampiress and my son was Spiderman. Much fun and tooth decay was had by all.

Sunday I woke up sick as a dog. Terrible head cold, cough and sore throat. Maybe I let myself get a little run down with all the fun I have had lately. Went to bed early last night and woke up to work hard all day, even though I felt like shit. Mentioned earlier tonight to Susan that I was feeling the need to get a little bedtime action. She informed me that she wasn’t going to get too close to me since she didn’t want to get sick. I assured her that she couldn’t catch anything if she only gave me a BJ. LOL She didn’t fall for it, oh well….

I did get to spend a nice 45 minutes or so giving her a back massage. It is nice, for a change, to be able to touch your wife without there being any sexual expectations. The times that we have sat together on the couch with her head in my lap and me rubbing her hair, neck and back have been few and far between. We moved onto the bed where I broke out some lotion and she stripped down to the waist and I rubbed all the stress knots out of her back. It felt good for her and equally nice for me. Damn it was awesome…I loved being able to give her this kind of pleasure. When I was finished I kissed her forehead (not wanting to make her sick) and told her to lay down and watch TV until she fell asleep. I told her I loved her then went to tuck the kids into bed and now here I sit.

Well I reckon this will catch you all up on the happenings since I last posted. It’s been an exciting past few days, and tomorrow looks like an equally exciting day. I just hope a decision is made before the night is over. Ya’ll be sure to get out and vote!
