It’s a HOT day in Bama…

Yes, it is a rather toasty day here in Sweet Home Alabama, and I am fixing to go out and cut the grass. Did you catch that word “fixing”? Maybe some of you not from the south aren’t familiar with that word. All my yankee work people at corporate make fun of me when I say that. “fixing” and “ya’ll” are just part of my vocabulary…always have been.
Got a lot to do this evening and tomorrow. My daughter is having a birthday slumber party here tomorrow night. Have had her cleaning her room all day. Won’t it be exciting with a house full of loud 11 yr old girls? She wants a hamster for a present. I had a hamster once when I was a kid. That thing was mean as a snake and had this rather large protruding thing hanging from it’s crotch (do hamsters have crotches?) Anyway, my mom named it “Scrotum” I wonder what ever happened to old grumpy Scrote?
Just in case ya’ll were wondering, it’s still illegal to buy or sell sex toys in Alabama. It came out in the news today. I wonder if they can arrest you if you have one in your possession? It would suck to get pulled over and then busted for having an illegal dildo under the passenger seat!
Okay, I am off to sweat in the yard. Better get it done b4 the neighbors commence to complaining.

Slumber party! Take some tylenol now! lol 11 year old girls can reach sound decibels unknown to mankind! lol But I’m sure you know all about that, now don’t you, sugar? ;0)
A hamster, huh? Never was a rodent fan. I hope my kids never ask for one!
Growing up in my house, I was never exposed to ‘fixin’ or ‘ya’ll’, but I sure did pick it up from somewhere. I try not to let those slip often, only around those who can appreciate my inner hoosier. lol

i know “fixin and y’all” my family is from west virginia and it made perfectly good sense to hear those words again. I dont want to come to alabama then cause toys are nice and i dont want the officers to get upset with me.
